I never wore it, and it is new iin this past winter season. You can wear it tied around the waist or take off the ribbon to leave it open. The pockets are large - no need for a handbag! It can be worn with jeans, leggings, skirts, pants, whatever you want! It is on the longer side as you can tell by the first picture.
