The SxS PRO X Thunderbolt 3 Single-Slot Card Reader from Sonnet is a compact, professional SxS card reader for computers with Thunderbolt 3 ports. It is compatible with SxS PRO X cards, which offer nearly a 3x increase in maximum read speeds over the previous generation. Aside from SxS PRO X, this card reader may be used natively with SxS PRO+ E, SxS PRO+ D, SxS PRO+, SxS PRO, SxS-1, and SxS cards. Additionally, XQD and SD cards may be used via separately-sold adapters.
Sonnet built this card reader to drive data transfers at speeds up to 1250 MB/s for SxS PRO X cards, or 440 MB/s for SxS PRO+ media. Pocket-sized, rugged with an aluminum enclosure, and bus powered, this device is compatible with Windows and Mac. It may be connected to your Windows system using a Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, or USB4 port, while Mac connectivity is limited to Thunderbolt 3. Included is a 1.6' Thunderbolt 3 cable and a ThunderLok3 retainer clip, which helps to prevent accidental cable disconnections.
