The lightweight active noise reduction aviation headset, Airman 850, uses the latest ANR circuit targeting wind noise in jet cockpits, providing up to 12 decibels (dB) of noise attenuation between 100 and 2000Hz. The earcups and cushions are also larger than the previous model, enhancing pilot comfort. Furthermore, it features set-and-forget volume control, a noise-canceling electret microphone, and a fully flexible boom. The Airman 850 dramatically improves communication clarity and achieves active noise reduction through microphone bias, eliminating the need for batteries or panel power. Telex's Airman 750 and 850 headsets are used in over 70% of civilian aircraft. The Airman 850 can be used in Boeing, Airbus, and other aircraft, and does not require a dedicated intercom adapter.
