Just submerge the heater in the water, attach it to the side of the aquarium with the convenient suction cups and let it get to work heating the water. Includes built-in thermostat that turns it on when temp goes below 78. Red light tells you when it's heating water, so you ca set and forget. Shock-resistant glass tube and silicon carbide crystals facilitate heat transfer and distribution.
