The Base Case: Systems Models and Data Analysis 2020-2026 Paperback – February 14, 2026

This is my third book on systems modeling and analysis. Like the previous books, this one is a collection of works, but it is a bit different. For one thing, its format is that of the slide presentation rather than the written article. For another, it includes not only work on system dynamics methodology and applied systems models, but also multivariate statistical analyses. Also, it is dominated by work done not for paying clients but for the public at large and posted online at Academia.edu. The papers all relate in some way to population health and well-being. Some do so directly by investigating the determinants of life expectancy, health disparities, maternal morbidity, and deaths from motor vehicle crashes and other injuries. Others address greenhouse gas emissions and climate change, refugees and the forcibly displaced, urban dynamics, and educational performance and attainment.
