Half his crew are casualties, the rest dispersing, leaving Tom stuck on Lotus. As the black destroyer preys on local freighters, Tom becomes fixated on tracking it down and exacting revenge. A rumored corvette... There's talk of one more warship on Lotus Station. The Calgary, a heavy corvette seized by the Dawn Alliance, was towed to Lotus. A corvette is no match for a destroyer, but it's Tom's only chance. If he can locate the Calgary-if he can repair and launch it-and if he can assemble a crew, he will confront the black destroyer once more.
