Here are four quick and easy steps I use when drawing terrain.
1) Primer - medium tone
This step is where you block out the basic colors. I like to use a rattle primer to fill in some of the layer lines left over from the 3d printing process (bonus points if you get the primer in the main color of the piece!) . Don't worry too much about making each piece
