If there's anyone out there who treasures this book at home, I'd love to say "I know, right?" and chat about our mutual love for Stanley Kubrick's work. Back then, when I was in junior high, I think he was the artist who first sparked a revolution in my perception of the world of film. We used to gather at a friend's house to watch "A Clockwork Orange." But then, the friend's dad came home, and the scene on the screen was showing the girl being brutalized, so we all quickly turned it off and watched something else. Even that atmosphere was great. There was a sense of almost a minor criminal consciousness in the viewer, a feeling of opening up your senses, of touching the taboo, that was present in all of his films. I was always thrilled by that novelty. This is a luxurious collection of his artwork, which I've been collecting endlessly.
