CMOD compact encoder modulator system with licensed Dolby AC/3 audio codec & digital HDTV ATSC output. Ideal for video distribution in existing systems or buildings wired with coax for North American antenna TV. Converts live video to a digital HDTV channel compatible with any ATSC (8VSB) set top box, tuner, or digital TV. Inputs are provided for HDMI or Component video up to 1080p60 for H.264 or 1080i60 for MPEG-2. Provides same quality encoding as larger 19in rack systems without the advanced features seldom needed in most installations; such as ASI or IP interfaces. USB file storage interface is provided for recording the encoded video transport stream from live sources. These *.ts files can then be transferred to a computer or played back through the modulator output on loop. This feature is ideally suited for digital signage applications or for system information channels. All features are available through the front panel LCD & back lit keypad for convenient programming. This unit can generate digital TV channels compatible with all North American ATSC systems or 8VSB receivers.
