I have a pair of Black Trickers Ottenburger shearling boots that I’m sadly saying goodbye to. These are of incredible quality, unbelievably comfortable for something so heavy and bulky and are so warm on the feet. You could wear these for 10 hours and think nothing of it. They have unfortunately just not been worn as much as they should be, so am hopefully sending to a good home where they’ll get good use. As you can see, they have a full commando sole in very very good condition. These are the kind of boots that will last a lifetime so a real investment. These were made in limited quantities in both a brown and this black. If I recall they were a tribute design, made to commemorate the Shackleton expedition, which Trickers provided the footwear for and inspired this very design. I have never seen anyone else with a pair in either colour so incredibly rare! They were over £500 new, and a standard classic pair of Tricker boots are in excess of £600 now! These are hand made in Northampton England at the Trickers factory - you can see the handmade inscriptions on the inside of the boot with the details. These have been kept in great condition and cleaned after any trips in bad weather. In many, many years after miles of use, they can be sent back to Trickers for resoling and will last forever. Size 8.5 in an ‘S’ last - I have a relatively wide foot and usually wear an 8 but I wear this with quite a thick sock. I’ve worn these in thick snow abroad and have kept me quite warm, but still look very good and don’t look too ‘functional’ like a lot of outdoor boots. At the very least they should be given a rinse off after heavy weather use, to remove any salt from the leather and keep them looking pristine. Unfortunately I no longer have the orginal box, but am selling with the boot bags that they came with to keep them in great condition.
