Lot includes two vintage 1950s Vogue dolls—
The 1957 one is Jill. She has auburn hair, blue eyes that close, molded eyelashes, painted nails, and jointed legs. Her knees don’t want to bend, so I didn’t force them. I believe her shoes are original. Her dress is handmade, and by the looks of it, possibly by the little girl who originally owned her. Her necklace is a child’s bracelet.
The other has no markings, but has the same features as Jill. She has blonde hair, blue eyes that close, molded eyelashes, and painted nails. Like Jill, I believe her shoes are original. Her dress is also handmade, and her necklace is a part of another child’s bracelet.
Both stand 10” without heels. Along with the velvet dresses, shoes, and necklaces, there is also a set of nylons included. I’m not sure if they were original. They’re quite long, but they do fit. Some Vogue dolls had them, so I’m including them, as well as the coats. Even though they’re corduroy, they look like little opera coats.
