Gorgeous vintage Sterling (and other metal) mirrored compact. This Art Deco piece was purchased at an estate sale. It is line etched on the top and is engraved with the initials, “RFJ”. But a jewelry or engraver can easily change it or buff it out. Some like to keep it just how it is-a vintage piece that was most likely a very special gift! It is not marked, but it does test positive for sterling in the areas I tested. Including the entire top, and the outside of the bottom. KThe stamp could have worn off or it could be very, very heavy plated. But the The bottom has 2 layers and the inside layer is not Sterling. I It comes in the gorgeous box shown that has a satin and velvet interior,along with a protective pouch. It’s is in great condition The inside lid on the box indicates it was from, Shreve Crumo & Low Co. Jewelers, Boston. This would make a wonderful gift for someone special, including yourself!
