This is a vintage copper chafing dish, likely from the mid-20th century and is used for keeping food warm at the table, often at buffets or gatherings. The heat source warms the water pan, which in turn keeps the food pan warm. Generally requires hand washing to keep the beautiful patina. It is 10” across and 9” high. The inside of the lid has a bit of denting but is not seen on the outside (see picture).
