Vintage educational poster

The Correlated History of Earth is an educational poster showing the 4.5 billion years of earth's history. Each column represents a timeline from ancient (at the bottom) to recent (at the top) times. Plate tectonic maps, mountain building events (orogenies), major volcanic episodes, glacial epochs, all known craters from asteroid and comet impacts are shown, as are more than 100 classic fossil localities from around the world, fossil ranges of plants, invertebrate and vertebrate lifeforms, and major extinction events. Also depicted on the chart are the Cambrian "explosion" of animal phyla and the juxtaposition of reptiles and mammals across the Cretaceous/Tertiary (K/T) boundary. 28x38 brand-new still in the plastic with the original price tag never been enrolled. 1999.
