What a great find! This listing is for a yardage (44 x 87”) of great vintage fabric in bright pink gingham or houndstooth pattern. I am guessing that the fiber is some sort of synthetic, likely nylon or acrylic, but it also could be a poly blend. Regardless what the fiber content is, the fabric feels very sleek and very synthetic. ☺ The pattern is great and color is equally strong! Bold, large (each square measuring about ¾”) and so retro… I could picture this fabric being used to line a piece of clothing or several totes/bags. This fabric was manufactured by Klopman Mills, Div. of Burlington Industries Inc. in 1971.
I have not noticed any visible flaws. The fabric has a very slight stuffiness to it. Not a strong odor or noticeable smell, just a slight “dustiness” typical to a material that has not been aired out for a while.
