There is a 8 on one side of the hook there is a 5-point star on the other side of the hook research says that it could be a Crosby could be a unmarked company that used the star forgive me it starts with a w I think it's like Wellington one side of the wood has looks like it had some bugs or something in it and the wood has composed a little bit but other than that it's pretty solid I believe the eight says that it's rated for 8 tons however if you just search a picture of it everything says half ton which is a big difference so not a whole lot of information to give you good luck
