Vintage Native American Sand Art

This set of three beautifully and expertly crafted by I believe the Zuni Tribe (not positive) and were composed entirely of natural earth materials gathered from the southwest deserts and mountains. Each of them have a brass ring to hang them by and measure 5 1/2” x 6 1/2”. Each of them also have a written description on the back explaining very briefly the symbols and beliefs surrounding them. Truly a treasured gem. I believe they were created in the 1970’s by indigenous Indians of the southwest. Please look carefully at the pictures. The one with the thunderbird has a chip in the frame. There are also other areas throughout the three pieces of art with imperfections. Those are due mainly to the age of them and may contribute to character. Regardless, as a whole they are a great addition to any home.
