Niloak pottery is such a star in the history of American art pottery. They offer such a great selection of shapes and glazes. This pot has a beautiful Mauve base glaze with a blush of violet blue overlay. Gorgeous swan neck style handles and ruffled rim. Named Niloak because it is kaolin (pottery clay) spelled backwards. Made In Arkansas in the 1930s, Niloak put the state on the map at the height of the Arts and crafts movement. Their Mission Swirl collection went on to influence art pottery well into the 1970s. I see a couple of scratches but zero nicks or flakes. Weighs 1.07 lbs, 7.75 inches tall and 6.5 inches handle to handle. 3 inch rim opening. Great addition to your arts and crafts collection. Double boxed and shipped lovingly.
