This is a badge from the "Yakult Atoms" era, a former professional baseball team. It was the predecessor to the current Tokyo Yakult Swallows.
Team Name: Yakult Atoms
Character: Character from Osamu Tezuka's manga "Astro Boy"
History:
The nickname "Atoms" began to be used for the team in 1966.
In 1970, when Yakult Honsha took over the team's management, they inherited the name "Yakult Atoms."
In 1974, the team name was changed to the current "Yakult Swallows," so this design is considered a valuable item from the previous era.
This retro badge is an item that tells the long history of the team.
This was given to me over 50 years ago by the family of Manager Mihara (making it a valuable item in that sense).
