VTG Bennington Potters Vermont White Spatter Handled Platter #1648 Yusuke Aida designer.
Vintage Bennington Potters oval serving platter #1668 designed by Yusuke in the 1960s. Unique "White on White" glaze.
This glaze is described as a "subtle spatterware with two-tones, of white layered on each other" and a semi-gloss finish. Yusuke was one of several designers in the Potters Bennington Potters artists' cooperative called Cooperative Design.
Gil worked with several designers, including the Japanese potter Yusuke Aida, which introduced a Japanese influence into many of the classic Bennington silhouettes.
David Gil was the founder and owner-operator of Bennington Potters from 1948 until 2002. Today, his wife still runs the business.
