Lydia Pinkham's Vegetable Compound packed a punch at 26 Proof! The side of the bottle is almost comically embossed top to bottom "1-4 Doses Left Buy a Bottle Today" with no mark to tell you when you have reached the point of necessary replenishment.

Pinkham's Compound made in Lynn, Massachusetts was made for relieving "hot flashes" and certain other symptoms associated with "Change of Life", etc. The label assures that the alcohol is "used solely as a solvent and preservative."

This is the large size bottle at 14.5 ounces. This is NOS from a very old pharmacy clean-out with the price back in the day shown as $1.49. This example is a full and unopened bottle with its original inner cardboard wrapper. The small pamphlet originally inserted in the box is not present in this copy (see our other listing for one with the insert). The box top is present but is detached from the box.
