FIRST AID PACKET, U.S.GOV’T
CARLISLE MODEL
BAUER AND BLACK
DIV. OF THE KENDALL CO. - CHICAGO
This is a historic piece of nostalgia.
This is an unopened First Aid Packet issued by the US Government during WW II.
The packet contains Crystalline Sulfanilamide
Crystalline Sulfanilamide was one of the first Sulfa Drugs to be extensively used. It was designed to be sprinkled over any severe open wound before applying a sterile dressing, in an effort to prevent infection to the area.
The packet also contains a dressing to apply to the wound.
This is a small packet easy to carry (4” x 2” x 1”)
This piece of militia nostalgia is still in the original packaging and has never been opened.
